Highlights
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation has published a proposed order to amend a permanent rule. The amendments concern sections 112 and 327 of the Wisconsin Administrative Code- Department of Transportation. Amongst other things, the amendments:
- aim to ensure rules are in place to provide for the safe transportation of passengers and property within Wisconsin
- limit the application of section 327 to intrastate commercial operations
- deletes various unecessary definitions in the sections
- deletes the requirement that a driver with diabetes mellitus controlled by insulin must provide statements from 2 physicians; and
- adopt certain changes to the hours of service limitations.
Comments on the proposed amendments must be made by 8 August 2022 and can be made via the link in the attached document.
