Highlights

The Wisconsin Natural Resources Board has published an Order to:

  • regulate the use of firefighting foam that contains intentionally added PFAS
  • determine appropriate containment and disposal measures for testing facilities
  • establish the appropriate measures when testing Class B firefighting foam 
  • prohibit the use of Class B firefighting foams, subject to exemptions
  • provide the notification and record-keeping requirements for persons in possession of foam and
  • outline the storage, containment, treatment and disposal requirements for persons handling foam.
