Highlights

The Department of Transportation has published a Notice on the proposed Rules to:

  • clarify the procedures used by the Department and the public to assess whether an adjudicative hearing is required
  • add a process for the Department to hire Administrative Law Judges to officiate certain adjudicative hearings
  • add a method for the Department to procure third party specialists
  • eliminate text inconsistent with the Utah Rulewriting Manual and
  • outline that any person aggrieved by the Department's failure may seek civil enforcement.
