Highlights

The Environmental Protection Agency has published a Notice concerning a draft revision to the risk determination for the n-methylpyrrolidone (NMP) risk evaluation issued under the Toxic Substances Control Act to:
  • outline the EPA's finding that NMP presents an unreasonable risk of injury to health when evaluated under its conditions of use and
  • clarify that the revised determination of unreasonable risk, when final, would supersede the condition of use-specific no unreasonable risk determinations in the December 2020 NMP risk evaluation. 

Interested persons can submit comments by August 1, 2022 through the Federal eRulemaking Portal.
