Highlights

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has published changes consolidated in the electronic Code of Federal Regulations. The changes have been made to the following sections:

  • "Positive initial determination and initial monitoring", which can be viewed on page 3 of the attached document. They include minor changes to paragraph (d)(4)(ii); and
  • "Protection of employees during assessment of exposure", which can be viewed on page 27 of the attached document, concerning changes to section (d)(2)(iv), which requires that where lead is present, interim protection as described in this paragraph is required where lead containing coatings or paint are present on structures when performing abrasive blasting, welding, cutting, and, torch burning.
