Highlights
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has issued Rules under the Toxic Substances Control Act to:
- require persons to notify the EPA at least 90 days before commencing the manufacture of certain chemical substances
- provide that persons can only start manufacturing after submitting a Significant New Use Notice
- confirm that the Notice applies to manufacturers of the listed chemical substances
- confirm that the docket (number EPA–HQ–OPPT–2019–0494) is available for inspection at https://www.regulations.gov and at the Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics Docket, Environmental Protection Agency Docket Center, West William Jefferson Clinton Bldg., Rm. 3334, 1301 Constitution Ave. NW, Washington, DC and
- provide a list of substances subject to these Rules.
