Highlights
The Environmental Protection Agency has published a Notice concerning a draft revision to the risk determination for the perchloroethylene (PCE) risk evaluation issued under the Toxic Substances Control Act to:
- outline the EPA's finding that PCE presents an unreasonable risk of injury to health when evaluated under its conditions of use and
- clarify that the revised determination of unreasonable risk, when final, would supersede the condition of use-specific no unreasonable risk determinations in the December 2020 PCE risk evaluation.
Interested persons can submit comments, specifying the docket ID number EPA— EPA–HQ–OPPT–2016– 0732, by August 1, 2022 through the Federal eRulemaking Portal.
