Highlights

The City Council of the City of West Covina has issued an Ordinance amending the West Covina Code of Ordinances, to:

  • regulate mandatory organic waste disposal reduction
  • regulate garbage and rubbish collection
  • require multiple entities to support statewide organic waste disposal reduction targets
  • set out circumstances under which entities may request waivers
  • require commercial edible food generators to recover excess food for human consumption
  • provide that food recovery organizations need to maintain certain records and
  • issue a model water-efficient landscaping Ordinance.
