Highlights
The City of San Clemente has published an Ordinance to amend Chapter 13.28 of the San Clemente Municipal Code to:
- empower authorities to enforce compliance with the provisions
- outline a list of prohibitions and limitations of discharging sewage
- clarify the determination of mass emission limit
- impose specific local limits for the discharge of metal pollutants
- require users to obtain written authorisation to use sewerage facilities
- outline the types of wastewater discharge permits
- clarify the pretreatment equipment, reporting and notification requirements
- require users to provide waste minimisation plans, monitor and report wastewater pollutants
- outline the enforcement process and penalties for non-compliance with the provisions and
- impose fees and charges for wastewater discharge.
