Highlights
 

The City Council of the City of Folsom has issued an Ordinance under the Folsom Municipal Code to:

  • confirm that the City is authorized to have an exclusive right to collect solid waste
  • require that no person may collect and dispose of solid waste within the city without the permission of the City Council
  • prohibit burning and disposal of solid waste on any premises in the city
  • require self-haulers to separate recyclable materials
  • regulate residential containerization and placing of containers
  • provide a list of materials permitted to be collected
  • regulate the manner of container collection on holidays
  • set out fees for automated solid waste containers and payment of collection fees and
  • set out requirements for commercial edible food generators.
