Highlights
 

The City Council of the City of Encinitas has published an Ordinance amending the Encinitas Municipal Code to:

  • require any project generating construction and demolition debris within the City to comply with the California Green Building Standards Code
  • require project applicants to submit a waste management plan
  • clarify that the WMP Compliance Official must approve the WMP to approve the project permit
  • require the applicant to submit relevant documentations to show compliance with the project diversion requirements
  • allow the applicant to apply for exemptions and
  • impose penalties for non-compliance with the provisions.
