Highlights
 

The City Council of Buena Park has published an Ordinance to amend the Buena Park Municipal Code, to:

  • require the separation of organic waste and recyclables in the disposal of solid waste
  • provide information on waste collection during emergencies
  • outline the waste collection times
  • provide requirements for solid waste containers including how they should be used and where they should be placed for collection
  • outline requirements for residential units, commercial businesses, commercial edible food generators, food recovery organizations and services, permitted waste haulers, facility operators, community composting operators and self-haulers
  • prohibit the placement of unauthorized bins, containers, dumpsters and other waste receptacles
  • require solid waste to be removed weekly 
  • provide that a permit is required for burning, burying or dumping waste and
  • make various other miscellaneous amendments.
