Highlights
The City Council of Buena Park has published an Ordinance to amend the Buena Park Municipal Code, to:
- require the separation of organic waste and recyclables in the disposal of solid waste
- provide information on waste collection during emergencies
- outline the waste collection times
- provide requirements for solid waste containers including how they should be used and where they should be placed for collection
- outline requirements for residential units, commercial businesses, commercial edible food generators, food recovery organizations and services, permitted waste haulers, facility operators, community composting operators and self-haulers
- prohibit the placement of unauthorized bins, containers, dumpsters and other waste receptacles
- require solid waste to be removed weekly
- provide that a permit is required for burning, burying or dumping waste and
- make various other miscellaneous amendments.
