The British Legal Technology Awards is an annual celebration of excellence in Legal Technology, IT security, Leadership and Innovation as well as the individuals, teams and suppliers transforming the future of legal services. The Awards, which took place in London, comprised 12 categories with a Winner and Runner Up named in each.

"As a young, customer-centric legal solution, Libryo is honored to be recognized as Runner Up in this years' BLTA New IT product of the year category," said Malcolm Gray, CFO and Co-founder of Libryo." This award recognises Libryo's vision to entirely change the way people interact with law today and into the future. It's also strong confirmation that our product is having a real, practical impact".

A 19-strong judging panel with over 150 years' collective experience in
legal technology and technology markets assessed finalists on the following criteria:

  • innovative new products and solutions, launched in the legal sector during the past 12 months, by start-ups and established vendors
  • products and solutions which deliver vision, differentiation, practicality and importance to the sector

Libryo is proud to be re-organising and redesigning  the world's regulatory law. We're doing this in a way that's person or company-centric, and that makes it much easier for compliance professionals to know the law applicable to their operations - whether they manage one or 1000 sites. Because the global regulatory system is currently a bit of a mess, solving this problem dramatically improves efficiency and reduces the costs involved in knowing applicable regulations.

To achieve this, the Libryo Platform must ingest the world's legislation domain by domain and jurisdiction by jurisdiction. Legislation is then transformed into a machine readable format and marked up with annotation so that it's possible to effectively match it at section-specific level to the customer.

It's a unique and ambitious project, that we're convinced will make an enormous positive impact for the legal sector, and for the world at large.

In the New IT Product of the Year category, Libryo was nominated alongside iManage, Consilio, ThoughtRiver and NetDocuments. iManage (AI-powered document management company) was named as the overall category winner, with Libryo Runner Up.
