South Carolina: Notice of public hearing concerning occupational health and safety standards - COVID-19 log and reporting provisions

Highlights

The South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation (SCDLLR) has issued a Notice under the SC Code of Laws, 1976 to notify that a virtual public hearing will be held on 26 April 2022, at 10:00 AM to discuss a proposed rule:

  • requiring employers to maintain a COVID-19 log and reporting provisions
  • require employers to report each work-related COVID–19 fatality to OSHA within 8 hours of the employer learning about the fatality and
  • require interested parties to file with the Director of the SCDLLR a summary of their views on the matter no later than 18 April 2022.
